Job description
Payfinity is building a platform that connects digital assets to everyday payments. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will design and develop the core backend services that support our products.
You will work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to build scalable APIs, payment integrations, and financial systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience with distributed systems, and a focus on security and reliability.
This is a fully remote position working with a globally distributed team.
Job responsibilities
• Design and develop backend services and APIs for the Payfinity platform
• Build scalable systems that support high transaction volumes
• Integrate payment networks, financial services, and third-party APIs
• Ensure platform security, reliability, and performance• Collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams
• Review code and contribute to backend architecture decisions
• Improve system monitoring, testing, and deployment processes
